Over 100 Years Of Combined Landscaping Experience
Led by a licensed Landscape Architect with 25 years of experience, Terravista Landscape and Maintenance specializes in landscape architectural design, all types of landscape construction as well as the design and construction of irrigation and lighting systems.
We provide superior low-voltage night lighting systems using only the highest quality products. We know how to illuminate your landscape in a way that brings out interesting characteristics of your home or office.
In addition, we use Eagle Point "LANDCADD," a CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) drafting system. With our 2D "Picture Perfect" presentation program, we can show clients renderings of completed projects before even commencing construction.
Our areas of expertise include:
- All Types of Gardens
- Garden Structures
- Walls
- Patios
- Decks
- Irrigation Systems
- Trails
- Walks
- Play Areas
- Parking Areas
- Water Gardens and Swimming Pools
We use only the best available materials, including:
- #1 Plant materials with a one-year warranty
- Custom-made galvanized steel edge (Most other contractors use untreated steel that begins rusting immediately. Some of our edging has been installed for 15 years with no rust.)
- A wide selection of the best mulches
Superior Bed Preparation
Our plants do well because any topsoil we provide is #1 quality. Many contractors use lesser quality soil that is mostly clay. We prefer using 6" to 12" topsoil in the beds and 3" to 4" in the lawns. For the beds, we always till in adequate amounts of peat moss, compost and Slo-cote fertilizer. Although costs are a little more, plants will grow much better and stay healthier.
Superior Irrigation Systems
We build according to standard specifications. We do not cut corners, and we always install the following:
- Separate zoning for lawns and beds
- Schedule 40 pvc pipe (Most other contractors use substandard schedule 200 pvc pipe, which is half as thick, leading to leaks.)
- A Rain stat rain switch
- A cover on the RPZ backflow preventor
- Copper risers on the backflow preventor
- Swing pipe connections on the heads
- Silicon-sealed wire connectors
- 2 or 3 brass ball valves for drains with hose hook-ups (Others often use inferior hose bibs for drains, and the handles break off after a couple of years.)
- A ground rod for the controller to protect from lightning damage
We always design and install our jobs with consideration to future maintenance and safety concerns.
